Anxiety Attack

Fingers flicking.

Face tightening.

Foot tapping.

Leg shaking.

Hair twisting.

Lip biting.

Heart racing.

Hair pulling.

Tears welling.

Temper rising.

Patience snapping.

Mood tanking.

Interaction failing.

Thoughts spinning.

Anger exploding.

Hurting feelings.

Thinking spiraling.

Mind overthinking.

Feelings overriding.

Logic strangled.

Guilt overwhelming.

Thoughts speeding.

Brain frying.

Mind paralyzed.

Anxiety invading and conquering.

    1. I just kind of wrote right as I was experiencing it. And that was what came out. No fancy words. Just short, strangled sentences. And yes, the rhythm and pace were how I was feeling it as it happened.

    1. Unfortunately, it’s been lingering. It’s like an anxiety hangover. The trigger and the situation has passed but the anxiety just lingers. Then it got triggered again by something else and I’m back at the lingering. It’s been happening note frequently this week for some reason. It sucks.

  1. This is such a visceral physical response – it is hard to believe how much control our thoughts have over our physical beings. Please take care of yourself and be well. You are important and loved – I hope this episode was short lived and not too scary. I have had only one anxiety attack and it was terrifying. Thank you for letting us into your expereince – hopefully the sharing of it lightens the load you are carrying.
